I was born and raised in California but flew across the pond at age 18 to pursue a degree in Music Technology in Greater London. I moved to Cardiff shortly after graduating last year.
The majority of my work right now is in music journalism. I write for a few other music publications and started with IAMUR in Oct 2023. I also run a freelance photography site where I sell nature prints. I’ve released a few EDM/ambient/synthwave singles, too. I’m still trying to figure out my “niche” in photography and music as my creative image evolves.

I enjoy travelling around the UK and Europe, weightlifting every morning, writing about my thoughts, and having the occasional night out with friends.

Growing up, I listened to a wide variety of genres and also took piano lessons for many years. I had an obsessive Beatles phase when I was around 8.
Later on, I got really into glam heroes like David Bowie and T. rex/Marc Bolan. I’d say the biggest influences on my music are Brian Eno and Muse; I’ve been lucky enough to see both of them live, too. I was really into Muse in high school and still listen to them every once in a while. Laurie Anderson is another hero of mine whom I’ve also been able to see live (3x!).

Lately, I’ve been digging into The Velvet Underground and The Smiths, and also various ’90s indie rock hits. I’ll listen to pretty much anything other than Death Metal (can’t stand it for some reason).

Hearing birds chirping. Sunlight coming through the curtains gets me out of bed in the morning, along with having supportive friends who also support my creative projects and collaborations.  New music releases…. trusting in the unknowns of life… going on short trips… live music and knowing there’s always something new to learn and discover are things that motivate me.

I want to offer support to new musicians as they’re in such an important career stage where reviews and coverage are crucial for their recognition and professional success.  I can’t wait to see we grows and change over time. I’m proud to be a part of this talented team of writers.
