Honey Moon share stomping new feel-good single, ‘Stop And Listen’

London Show at The Lexington in February and headline UK tour also announced for April

The South London-based trio have brewed a stomping and rich feel-good track, steaming with a captivating brass section and infused with infectious guitar licks, which create a buoyant landing pad for singer and guitarist Jack Slater Chandler’s saccharine voice.

Explaining the track in more detail, the band say, “It’s an upbeat stomper that tells the story of two people pulling in opposite directions throughout a fractious relationship. Born out of a period of negativity and frustration, writing and recording the song has been a cathartic process – one that has taken what was once a sensitive subject matter and bundled it into our own little sing-a-long anthem, all tied up with a soul-pop bow. On a thematic level, ‘Stop and Listen’ is for anyone who’s been through troubles and disagreements with friends, struggles with anxiety, control and inward reflection, but it’s also just for anyone who wants to dance!”

‘Stop And Listen’ also comes with the news that the band will be playing a headline show in London next February at The Lexington. Blossoming into a seven-piece for their biggest headline show to date, and with the promise of some very special guests, it all takes place on Saturday 26th February – tickets can be found here. Set to be a momentous occasion, their last headline show in London at Moth Club sold out in just 2 days.

The trio will then hit the road in April for an action-packed UK headline tour, visiting nine cities along the way, including ManchesterLiverpoolBristolBirmingham and Glasgow. Tickets will be on general sale from 10am on Friday 14th January.

Following on from previous singles ‘If I Could Only Dream‘ and ‘Magic‘, the band have won scores of praise from the likes of The Line Of Best FitDIYClashDorkWonderlandBBC Radio 1BBC 6Music, BBC Introducing and Apple Music 1, as well as support from pop juggernaut Sir Elton JohnHuw StephensTom Robinson and Gideon Coe. They’ve graced the cover of Spotify’s Hot New Bands playlist and have made triumphant appearances at GlastonburyTruck Festival and Sŵn Festival.

Recently the trio joined fellow 60s sound purveyors FUR on their UK tour. Hitting the road for a few weeks and playing several sold out dates around the country, they won over an abundance of new fans from the dizzying heights of the north to the glistening scenery of the south coast.

Throughout 2021, Honey Moon’s streaming figures (which sit comfortably in the millions) have continued to increase at a rapid rate, as they’ve amplified the appetite for more new music and live appearances. In turn, the band have spent the past two years crafting a collection of music that will eventually form part of their long-awaited debut album.

Their first release since 2019, ‘Stop And Listen’ begins the journey of the band’s most important body of work to date. With the promise of more music and more live dates in the near future, it looks set to be a very exciting 2022 for Honey Moon indeed.
