Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova… On Tour!
Reuniting early 2022 for the first time in over ten years
Marketa Irglova and Glen Hansard are reuniting this spring for six shows in North America, kicking off with the State Theatre in Minneapolis in March. The reunion marks the 15th anniversary of their critically acclaimed movie, and award-winning OST, Once.
Both Hansard and Irglova have enjoyed great success in their respective solo careers, which remains their primary focus; Irglova’s recent releases include three singles (“Mother, ”Among the Living” and ”Quintessence”), and has plans for a new album next year. Hansard’s friendship with Eddie Vedder over the past few years has seen the two writing and performing live together, and more recently, Hansard joined Vedder and Cat Power to create the soundtrack for Flag Day in addition to performing as part of Vedder’s new band The Earthlings at the 2021 Ohana Festival.
Hansard and Irglova collaborated recently on a new song, where it was suggested that they consider playing together for some live shows. As it turns out, that is set to become a reality in the New Year. Dates as follows;
